Carbon footprint misconceptions

I don’t really get what recycling has to do with CO2 reduction, I suppose that’s more about resource efficiency. But otherwise a useful infograph.

The product that is actually not recycled emits substances similar to CO2.

When you recycle, a lot of times, the product gets exported and then dumped, under the premise that “it will get recycled”.

Because very few products actually get recycled, the actual savings are very small.
