To protect yourself against power abuse, you create different, but equal powerful branches of democratically elected government bodies. That way, even the president/prime minister can get prosecuted. As we’ve seen in places like the West.
And you can have a new government, with a new direction. Instead of a 30 year plan with the same people, without influence from society. That’s a dictatorship.
