Standardization is what we should aim for. And especially open standards, like how the Internet became big. Although it’s getting closed slowly with messengers such as WhatsApp. Anyway, ironically the military is very good at standardization. Such as the Joint Strike Fighter program, NATO ammunition standardization, communication standards and quality checks. If only we embraced this more. Like e.g. parts for phones, Fairphone does though.
