In nl this is also a problem. Homes are still built with severe cold in mind during winter. But the climate is changing, it’s not uncommon anymore to have very warm summer months which are not great in homes with heat isolation. Now people are buying ACs, which is indeed not a great solution. I luckily have solar panels and will buy one AC unit and the rest of the rooms will be solved with fans. The solar panels will make sure I won’t waste more energy than needed and the ceiling fans are also an energy efficient solution.

And it’s also a problem in ro, where there is a lot of heat and drought during summers. I have 2 ACs that most of the time are off to save energy, only being used when there is not enough natural cooling.
